Astrology News Report is a 3-part Weekly Video Blog of Astrology and Current Events. The report is a conversation between two Astrologers, David Anton Savage and Ron Berger, discussing the News of the Week, and relating it all to the planetary patterns in the zodiac. The conversation is illustrated with photos from the week’s news along with the relevant Astrology Charts. Viewers can keep track of how the positions of the planets in the Heavens manifest as events on Earth. Each week on Astrology News Report dot com, we also do an analysis of the upcoming astrology patterns, making predictions for future trends based on planetary movements and transits. The third segment of the weekly show features the astrology charts of famous celebrities, politicians and the infamous, studies of the birth chart of the United States of America, and analysis of Special Events. The website also archives past shows. Ron Berger and David Anton Savage use the ancient system of prediction, Vedic Astrology, also known as Jyotish, the astrology of India. It is over 5,000 years old and unlike Western Astrology, is based on the Sidereal Zodiac: the actual observable positions of the planets amongst the stars. The accuracy of Vedic Astrology has been well proven and its predictive techniques far exceed what is possible in Western Astrology. Knowing how your karma is unfolding will help you to negotiate with destiny and fate and find where the free will is available.

President Joe Biden: Astrology Update & Predictions 2024

According to Vedic Astrology's Planetary Period System, Joe Biden is in a new chapter of his life: his Saturn Major Period. In a Scorpio-rising chart, Saturn represents the 3rd house of Efforts & Skills, and the 4th house of Heart & Soul. Saturn's position in his 7th house is what gives him Skills in Relationship. But the 7th house is also the Direct Opponent. Saturn in this placement is what gives him an Intractable Opponent.

I am a Canadian well versed in N American Astrology but not Vedic.
As an appreciators of history and respect for ancient traditions and a huge admirer of Joseph Campbell American philosopher and Vedic scriptures expert — you Mr Berger I can see from listening to your podcasts, etc. are ‘spot on’ with your Vedic analysis of current universe events via a vis the U.S. election and recent sad events in Belgium.
Btw, I live in Nova Scotia near the fabled “Cape Breton” where many disenchanted Americans have been invited to relocate to should the upcoming President in the Nov 2016U.S. Election
    not be to their liking.
Wouldn’t hurt to do a Vedic geographic analysis on this pristine beautiful part of the world located in the North Atlantic for Election Day.

I know how to determine the major planetary period using the highest # of degrees in the birth chart.
Do I use the 2nd highest # of degrees to determine the minor planetary period?

The major planetary period, and sub-period, of the vimshottari dasha (commonly referred to as “Planetary Periods System”), is not determined by the planet with highest number of degrees. The planetary periods of the vimshottari dasha system are based on the exact placement (degree) of the natal Moon in the lunar zodiac at the time of birth. For instance, a person born with natal Moon in Bharani, a Venus nakshatra, would start this life in a Venus major period. Where exactly in the 20 years of Venus they begin is determined by how far into the nakshatra (degrees and minutes) the natal Moon is placed. The calculations are taken care of by any modern Vedic Astrology software.

    Dear Ron:

When you do the video on Hillary Clinton, please note how Monica Lewinski will affect her because Monica seems to be in the news a lot now.

How do know when a planet is going to change nakshatras and how do you know what nakshatra the planet is going to change into?

      Ron Berger March 16, 2015 at 9:14 pm | | Reply

The nakshatras are the signs of the Lunar zodiac, a parallel zodiac to the Solar sign zodiac. Each nakshatra is 13 deg, 20 min, in size, vs. 30 deg for each solar sign. To determine when planets change nakshatras you need a panchang (Hindu calendar) or a Vedic Ephemeris, or a Vedic Astrology Program on your computer. Or, you could memorize the lunar zodiac and the degrees at which the nakshatras change.

Most of the Youtube video charts are to illustrate conjunctions and aspects between planets.
When showing general conditions of planets in the zodiac, I use the convention of orienting the chart to the beginning of the zodiac, i.e. Aries.
The corresponding clock time will depend on which time zone you are in.
I only put the clock time on a chart if the chart is specific to a location.
I.e., if it’s an event that happened in Washington DC, the local clock time will be there, along with the location.

Thank you for the information about how to find out what sign the moon is in in Vedic astrology.

Is there any websites that show what sign the moon is in in Vedic astrology each day?
