Ron Berger:
Ron Berger was born in New York City in 1950.
He met his first astrology teacher at the age of 17.
In 1968 Ron moved to Los Angeles and attended UCLA, studying Film Animation.
In 1975 he began studying Zen Buddhism, and became a student of Joshu Sasaki Roshi and resident of Mt. Baldy Zen Center, California.
While living in Boulder, Colorado in 1995 Ron met his Vedic Astrology Guru, Narendra Desai.
Following his guru’s example, Ron is a “modern” Vedic Astrologer; he uses the outer planets and contributions of recent research in addition to the time-tested wisdom of India’s ancient texts.
Concurrent with his Astrology work, Ron maintains a daily practice of puja and meditation.
Ron lives in Hollywood, California, with his wife and son.

For Libra ascendants Saturn is considered as a yogakaraka. Does the yogakaraka aspects get defeated if in the natal chart Saturn is retrograde?

When a yogakaraka planet is retrograde, some of its significations and potential to do good are curtailed, or at least delayed. Saturn is the planet of Delay in any case; when it is retrograde the delay factor is increased. Therefore retrograde Saturn is not going to deliver its benefits for you until late in your life. Of course, the other criteria for evaluating a planet, i.e., its sign & house position, and negative or positive aspects from other planets, also have to be considered when analyzing for results.
I have had the privilege of being “read” by Ron twice (a transit reading and a career reading). The accuracy of Ron’s Modern Vedic Astrology Reports is amazing! I no longer use Western Astrology after being read by Ron Berger. I kept a diary of the transits after the first reading and things turned out like he predicted. The career reading was so detailed that I think Ron could help a lot of young people before they embark on their high cost educations to make good decisions.
